Someone I showed this to suggested that one of the possible motivations of said horrifying disregard for the country was a toothache that caused him to forget the song. He was speaking hypothetically, I hope, but the proposition of such a thing alone was absurd. Personally, I’d hope it a toothache so I could prescribe one of Dr. Caity’s forty-caliber pain pills.
